About the foundation
Our cause
The Cura Vision Foundation is the name we use at il piccolo caffè for our chosen cause: cataract surgery for people in Vietnam living with avoidable blindness.
Cataracts cloud the lens of the eye. A short operation can restore sight — and with it, the ability to work, care for family and live independently.
Who we work with
Donations made through our "Give directly" button go to the Fred Hollows Foundation, which carries out sight-restoring work in Vietnam.
Why a coffee kiosk?
il piccolo caffè sits inside Cura Day Hospital in Spring Hill, where eye surgery is part of everyday life. Passing some of that forward felt right — one cup, one bag of beans at a time.
